Book blog tours are an excellent way to get your new book out there in front of excited audiences, or to revive an older book that needs a little push. We’re happy to be a promotional home for stops on your book blog tour, and our 90,000 viewers are eager readers, writers, and book promoters of every stripe who want to devour any indie book in sight.

Our book blog tour packages are simple and straightforward, and they reach our entire audience. Paid promotional material is not put behind our subscriber paywall, so it’s available for everyone to see, regardless of subscription status, but the material still reaches our subscribers and is included in our newsletters for the weekly email list.

The dates for the posts are entirely flexible for you to meet your tour date needs. We are able to work around your book-launch dates or any dates that you may have planned at other book sites, blogs, or journals during a set tour. We post to The Coil every Monday through Friday, but we are also able to post on weekends to meet date needs, if desired.

Advertisement packages include one single advertisement design at 1400 x 200px. Advertisements go into the next-available slots for the number of purchased days, but the days may not be consecutive, and advertisements may or may not be behind the subscriber paywall, depending on what’s available. All slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and not all posts have the same number of slots. Only Fourth Tier is guaranteed to have at least half of its purchased days (50) in the top slot on a daily post; all other tiers are next-available slots and may or may not be the top slot.

Purchasing is simple. All you have to do is select your package, fill out the form with your selected dates, pay the fee, then turn in your material at least a week before the selected date. A Coil editor will work with you on necessary items, ideas, and angles for posts, and a staff reviewer or interviewer may work with you for additional needs. Our advertising director will work with you on advertising specs, and our virtual event coordinator will work with you on a reading event, if applicable. The fee covers all the costs of working with these staff members to complete your package, including creating a professional advertisement if you don’t have your own design skills; there are no additional costs.

We are a liberal, fact-minded, non-religious journal that is a safe space for LGBTQUIA2+ and BIPOC+ authors, and writers of all ages, cultures, backgrounds, and abilities. Hate speech and harmful agendas are not welcome here. We reserve the right to refuse and refund any material that doesn’t align with the principles of our journal.
