We are thrilled to announce the 2023 Electric Book Award Winner and Finalists! From more than 800 manuscripts of all types, lengths, styles, and genres submitted to Alternating Current Press for the book prize, we’ve narrowed the first round of reading down to this shortlist of finalists and selected a winner. Congrats to all of these authors, whose manuscripts will be offered publication by Alternating Current Press. The winner, Julia Tagliere, receives $1,000 + publication for her book about the history and lore of the Reliance Building in Chicago, told through stories, essays, and fragments; and all finalists will have the opportunity to join our 2024 through 2026 publishing seasons.
